What would you pay for these parts?

it's coming up on 5 months now i believe, i was originally going to go with the idea of building a stock looking sleeper 2jz swapped sc, but i cringed at the idea of all the parts in my driveway and all the money it would cost, so i went ahead and decided to get a completed car, all done and ready, when i got down to la to pick it up, i saw all the problems with it, it had been described as immaculate condition, just needed a minor tune, the car didn't run, didn't idle, the power steering fluid was shooting all over the place, the radiotar was leaking, the bushings were dropping deteriorated rubber, the intrcooler piping was held together with ZIP TIES, and a section had come completely loose at the bottom and was hanging completely open, the clamps and screws on most of the turbo stuff was finger tight as were the bolts for the coilovers, literally, and when you stopped the car the whole front assembly shifted back and forth, but the car looked so nice and i was convinced that it just needed some tlc, and since i'd come all the way down to la, i went ahead and got it. Now i realize i could have the most kickass 2jz swapped sc pumpin 800 hp at the wheels, all professionally built for less than i've dumped into this thing. But i'm gonna hang on, see where it takes me, at least i'm learning.
The first one is something about it's more trouble than its worth.
The second one is cheep pays twice. Or in this case, you ended up paying for the 1st guys mistakes.
It's kinda weird reading that, because your like the complete opposite of me. The sc300 i first saw had a horrible tranny. Sure i prob could have got it fixed but knowing that fact that the guy didnt take care of the car, I knew it wasnt worth taking it because other problems might arise from the neglect. I know for a fact if i saw a car with zip-ties holding important cars i would next it.

trust me, i've learned, oh how i've learned, i just wish everyone could be as honest and whole hearted when they sell a car as i would hope to be if i ever sell something, i would much rather know about a mistake, even if its an annoying or expensive one, then think it's not there.

oh believe me... he was smart, from what you said about the condition of the car when you saw and bought it, it sounds as if he made out like a bandit. Remember, next time...take your time and....negotiate! Walk away if you have to. It's history now, why not show us some build-up pics of this beast!

fix it up, car looks sweet. you dont want to do something stupid twice by selling it do ya? you don't "need" larger injectors and a standalone. do the headgasket and studs for sure and you pretty much have to change all the other gaskets you have to take off to get to it. I don't know how someone can buy so many random tyte parts and and completely neglect their motor.
