Was up guys I'm in deep deep stress right now, today i ended up blowing my 1996 sc400 v8 4.0L motor and I'm in need of help!!!

I'm planning on replacing the motor my self its my only car im low on budget but I'm gonna end up buying a new motor asap. If any one could help me with some tips in guiding me in replacing the motor any major step I would have to do. Thanks :

damn that freaking sucks..... Scotturnot has one the motor and tranny but he located in ks.... might want to hit him up and see if he is willing to ship it? and of course the shipping fee would be your half of end.

I have a spare 97 sc400 engine with 78000 miles, Probally could get it to you for about $850 shipped.

Its pretty easy to do, just take your time. pull the harness with the motor is the key though.

It shouldnt be that much for a stock motor. You could prolly find one local for like 500. Take the old one out and put the new one in. I would spend the money on a 1j swap if i had the time.

im currently doing v8 vvti engine swap(extreme amount of time/labor) but my engine is sitting here in the shop ready to find a new home...located in brooklyn/queens border ny near atlantic ave for $500 it's currently in same shop doing swap. i swapped out my drivetrain because my 95 tranny died and decided to do a full restoration. pm me

you can get a Lexus V8 all day long in Houston junk yards for about $700 give or take. How the heck did you blow a V8?

Aliga has like 5 of the v8's laying around. I just saw it in the classified section the other day. you can literally pick which one you want. some looked pretty cherry
