That was probably when gas was close to 5 bucks a gallon. Its a lot cheaper now. Go to http://www.uship.com/ Its pretty much a ebay for shipping company except they bid on whatever you need shipping on. I have a car over there that I need shipped back also. I've been getting pretty good offers of $500 to ship it back to me. But like ebay you have to make sure they have a good reputation because there are scammers out there.

Also remember not to speed through Texas or Arizona. Cops there are Dicks. My cousin got a speeding ticket for going 65 in a 60. Also through phoenix theres speed cameras on the freeways so remember not to speed when you're in that city.

I would recommend uship.com also =D Just registar and companies will start making you offers to ship. Alot of times you can get a pretty good deal when you find someone that is about to make that route and has an extra spot on their trailer that nees to fill it asap.

yeah, that's baller status though. My buddy that I sold my Corolla to, Flew out to SoCal (where I originally resided) from Texas. I picked him up, we had some Carne Asada Fries, and drove back to Texas about 24 hours later. Made the trip home fine.

if you do this, please make sure the car's been taken care of. Oil change, maintenance, etc. You don't want to be stuck in the middle of the desert needing a tow truck.

I bought my last SC from California, and had it shipped all the way to the east coast in South Carolina.. cost me like $1100, much cheaper then the road trip would have been, and i had the benefit of not putting wear and tear on the car.. i used "Magic Carpet" auto transporters, i'd highly recommend them, great service....

on another note, road trips are fun, earlier this year me and a friend went to texas to pick up his supra..
