Default Dye for seats?

Hey guys im not sure if you get cloth seats in your SC or are they all leather. Either way i sold my recaros a while ago and cant seems to find them for sale, and ive tried to buy them back to no avail. Anyway im wanting to dye my cloth seats black and got no idea what to use. Here in Australia people use VHT vinyl and carpet dye for everything but the seats. Im yet to find someone who has dyed their seats black. Any pics and any help or advice would be sweet. Life would be easier just to buy factory black seats but they are pretty rare and damn expensive, i'd rather my recaros back for the amount the cost.

Thanks

You should just buy an upholstery kit from leatherseats.com, that would be the best way to go.

If that's not an option and since your seats are cloth, then you can just dye it using a permanent fabric dye. I would highly suggest getting some really good quality dye, because low quality dye will rub off the coloring on your clothes really easily. What I recommend you doing to do it right would be to take your cloth apart, soak it in the dye overnight. Then wash it multiple times until the cloth no longer bleeds. Then you can dry it and put it back together.

I'm with Romeo on that one...leatherseats.com. Easiest, and fastest way. Experiment afterwards, so if you mess up the dye-there is no loss, cause you'll still have leather as your finished product...something to think about.
