Just a thought. Really like that steering wheel!
Btw I think you should go 5 or 6 speed..
Couldn't decide if I wanted to get rid of the wood trim... I am having a hard time deciding... And I think you are right... I guess the thing on my balcony says so too

What are you going to do about the are under the radio and above the ashtray? Also does the head unit stick out farther than the climate control unit or is it flush? You should also polish up the woodtrim. I have a thread on it somewhere and it makes a huge difference!

P.S. I'm in love with the trim job!! Looks excellent!

Thanks - I listed in my mods to do list what I was going to do. I will hit up an audio store and grab a .5 din pocket to put in these. The unit sits between 1/8 and 1/4 out farther than the climate control. I can redrill the holes for the mounting bracket or wait til the dash kit comes out... Have not decided yet.

Thanks

What type of bracket did you use to mount the LCD? Is it for an SC or just one that you researched fit in the opening.

I'm under the impression the dash kit will never come out.

Great work!

Great work!

the stock SC bracket had the same bolt pattern of my new headunit.

Metra's dash kit is supposed to come out January/February. There are already prototype pics.

Well... I picked up a sub dirt cheap... 2 Alpine SWE's 9/10 conidtion with a box...... so I basically just want 1 sub... and I will seel the other for some dough... Dont need a box or 1 of the subs.

Anyways, just a little pic. I could of went for something more higher end... but once again.. not too big into audio anymore and it was practically a steal.

i use to have those. that was my first set of subs back in 2003

about the radio mounting and all that jazz. you can use the factory brackets. its a simple iso mount. most toyotas use this.

i think you should redrill the hole to make it sit flush. i had the same issue when i installed my alpine. i had to redrill the hole back about 1/4" or so. no more then that i think. it made it look a lot cleaner and flows better with the center console.

what amp are you running to the sub. when i had mine i ran a 500.1 polk momo to 2 10's just like that.

if you search arounf you might be able to find an old school clarion 5 channel amp. they are great. the speakers are rated at about 50x4...true 50x4 not what your radio says. rpm 50x4. the sub channel was in the 200 watt range. that would be perfect for a nice conservative system.

if i look hard enough i think i might actually still have my old clarion in the attic.

I actually got a deal on a Eclipse 4/3/2 channel amp, EA4100. So I will be powering my fronts and subs with it.
