actually those 10mm nuts can be removed with the dash in place even on a 97-2000 dash if you have a swivel socket and a short 1/4" drive extension. for any SC the glove box has to be removed. you might have to use a mirror to find and get to it. ....thats what she said. sorry had to do it. perfect timing. lol.

You are 100% right. I think you would be able to reach the bolt without removing the dash
there are no 10mm nuts on the 92 non-air bag dash. it is 3 or 4 wing nuts that are easily removed when you take off the glove box. the most left side of the trim is on a clip.
i just did it. the rim has the studs and they go through the dash and are held on by wing nuts. and you know they are good kind that Lexus uses since they were gold
Yeah I was going to say hold the phone!lol Wing nuts for the lose! I didn't have to take those off to get the dash off ,but Matt ended up doing it anyways. Why Lexus why?! Guess they figured it out in the later models dur dur. Those where a B adjustable pliers will work for that make sure there long cause you need leverage for that crap.

Since we are talking about interiors, how about more pictures of that nicely covered trans tunnel! I dont like the way mine came out after my auto to W58 swap.
