I think the word for people like me is otaku... but anyway, I was in Japantown buying anime and cool stuff for my car and I picked up this year's Tokyo Auto Salon Option Video. In the beginning of the video they had an awesome looking Soarer 2.5T with a carbon fiber hood and doors. The mirrors were also carbon fiber. does anyone sell anything like that here? Maybe Importtoys can get them?

I have seen the Carbon hoods as well as the ones with the big hump for the super charger. Very nice,VERY expensive (even 'at cost') but Doors?! Every time a new OPTIONS comes out someone steals it from the office and i never get to see it

The brand it said was Carmake T&E. It was a pretty sweet car with red paint and the carbon fiber stuff looked good.

YEs. Carbon fiber doors, hood, and trunklid would be ideal.
IF they were exactly OEM spec..would be ideal.

I know importtoys.com was trying to get some hoods. I'm still on that list.

The 900hp lexus is becoming a 500hp lexus and the 225 hp lexus is becoming a 1000+hp lexus. My 4 figure back account is becoming a 5 figure note.

good god, carbon fiber doors? these are what weigh so much on the SC.

If i could get a set of carbon fiber doors that were painted; i'd lay the money down; that would DEFINITELY equal some HUGE weight savings

I think that deal fell through.. still waiting to hear back from Marcus on the ones I saw. That hardracing one looks like a deal, I think I'm going to check that out. The weight savings will be enormous, the hood is one of the most massive parts of the body.
