Default What's the best way to paint center wheel caps?

I'm not sure if the logo is held on by glue or something else, but I'm looking to paint mine

Mine stood out to much for me, so I got some high quality stainless steel spray paint and painted over them. It turned out about a shade darker, but I was happy with it. The emblems are glued on quite well.

I know where are several types of center caps that came on the SC. Do you happen to have a picture to be more specific? Im sure all emblems are held on with little tabs that are glued on to the cap.
