I just pulled up my "sc price sheet" which is a log of prices by year and mileage of every sc ive seen for sale since i started looking...

for a good condition, low mileage 97 auto like yours, i would expect around $8,500-$9,000

I say 6-7... I've seen a handful of 97 sc3's for that price on autotrader. Depends on your area though.

I would imagine I could get at least 9-9.5k for it sense finding these cars in such good shape seems to be harder now a days, and has a 3 month old new 3k Paint job..

with the way the economy is and the fact people dont have as much money on toys i wouldnt expect 9.5k even in excellent shape. i would say in the 7-8.5K range is about right.

I've been the Chevy truck route... Trust me when I say it's not the route to take (sorry, man). I recommend an older model Tundra with the TRD package

no way i have been through the Chevy route myself and let me tell you when it come to a truck no one has it more down pack than chevy they have been doing longer and better than most. I had a Silverado and an S-10 both damn good trucks BUT you are right Toyota does make good trucks but i wouldnt go with a Tundra I would so pick up a Taco 4x4 V6thats the best bang for the buck. Either one is good but for the money and towing, and power a chevy will always be the best imo

I am a diehard Chevy guy for sure, the only thing that drove me nuts about the trucks my family has owned is that they are all rattly and there are constant check engine lights being thrown. The older '97-'99ish models with the 350 were the best GM ever produced IMO. Even though I am a GM guy, Ford makes a better truck by far (no offense), but it's just through experience and most of the consumer reports will agree. My buddy has a 2005 F150 Lariat and it is WAY nicer to drive than the Silverado. It all depends on what you would need the truck for though I suppose. Toyotas are much nicer daily drivers and can tow a fair amount. Chevys and Fords are obviously more powerful and have more interior room. The new Tundras are crap.

Yea so far Im really digging the 05 Chevy Silverado 1500/2500 Extended cab short bed, with a Nice 6-10in Suspension lift.

Dose anyone know any good chevy truck forums I can go to research and laern?
