hid/retrofit questions
hey guys,
i didnt get too much help on the lighting fourm, so maybe someone has some ideas. i was browsing http://store.theretrofitsource.com/index.php and came across their lens section (found here: http://store.theretrofitsource.com/i...d2b35af2974354)
which of these would fit best in the sc lens spot? are there any further modifications necessary for me to do the replacement? Since there is already a stock lens, i imagine that a shroud isn't necessary, correct?
Thanks guys!

TSXs would fit no problem...you just have to trim a bit off the projector in order for it to fit the housing. the shroud is not necessary and won't affect output in any way...they're just there to give the project a 'finished look' or OEM look. if you put the TSXs in I think??? there is about half a centimeter of gap between lens and chrome opening

trim a bit off of the plastic or glass? haha it would be a big pain to have to make the lens smaller.
someone had mentioned needing a different housing plate or something. Does that make sense?

from this pic you can see that the metal part of the projector is trimmed a little bit, you don't actually cut the lens because that will be a no no.
and yes you will need brackets to hold the projectors in place...if you're not sure and doing this on your own, just take the headlights apart...then you will see how it works

I had to cut 3 things when doing my retrofit.
1. The corner of the projector like in that picture.
2. The excess metal on the bottom of the projector.
3. The upper portion of the ring on the back of the headlight.
The last 2 things I had to cut, so I could adjust the projector vertically and not have it hit anything.
