92 400 OEM Wheel Size?
I tried looking around on the forums but i couldnt find anything. I really want to buy the silver 97-00 rims for my 92 sc400, but I don't want to purchase new tires (if i can)
what is the size of the rims that are currently on my car? i know they are 16s, but what is the width?
the tire size is 215/55/16..
if i find a 97-00 sc rim wil they fit with the tires that i have ?

The 92-94 have a 15 inch and 16 inch option.
Edit: Got my years screwed up sorry. 300's came with 15's 400's came with 16's

also,
if i was planning to buy the 97+ tail lights for my 92 would i need to do anything special b/c its not from the same year model?
http://i16.ebayimg.com/01/i/001/1f/c4/4413_1.JPG <-- these lights, if i purchase them, do they fit in like the ones that are currently on my car?

The lights will fit, but your blinkers will blink fast and your bulb-out indicator will illuminate, because they use different harnesses and different amounts of bulbs, etc. They work fine otherwise though, and there are some write ups on how to fix the fast blink.
Your tires should fit the 97+ wheels fine.

Honestly, the 97 style rim you're looking at isnt much of an upgrade from the ones currently on the car. They should be the same size since you dont have the ooooold 92 SC3 wheels... I think the rims you have are actually from a 95 model.

can someone confirm what be said about then bieng 95's? But I really hate the look of these rims and if I need new tires I'm sure I can find 97+ rims with tires. My dad would be paying for it so I'm kinda tight on upgrading my rims
