when i purchased my sc (second owner) they gave me 1 master keyless entry one and one valet key.. so.. yeah.

I always thought it was 2 remote masters, 1 valet, and 1 wallet key. I only got 1 remote master though, so I wonder who has all my other keys or how many keys actually exist.

I have 2 keys for my '95 400. From what I know 1 is a master, and the other is a spare.
But perhaps its a valet key? How does a valet key work? No trunk? Only allows a small distance driven? Only a certain speed?

This is what my father got when he had leased an 07 RX...

Thats probably how it always was, but i doubt many people still have all these keys for a 8-17 year old car...

Confirmed though is at least 1 master and 1 valet?

should only be able to operate the ignition and the outside door lock. Wouldn't make sense about the trunk because there's a trunk opener in the car. The valet key won't open the glove compartment.

There is a lock on the trunk opener inside the car that can only be unlocked with the master key. Valet should only be able to open the door and start the car.

The Manuel shows a pic of all the keys. I think the cars came with 2 masters and i know they came with 1 valet and one spare (without the lexus L tab)

Hey, what do you know. Mine only came with the valet key. It won't open the trunk or the passenger side door.
