you can buy the $12000 SC and put all of the $18000 leftover for not buying the porsche into the sc and at the end of the day it's still an SC. it's gonna be one heck of an SC but come on now...you know what to do.

2nd vote on the Supra TT 6sp. I have driven the 996TT, it's a wonderful car that feels like a super nice BPU Supra. The shifter feel was most noticably smoother than anything I have driven. However, I got more looks in the supra and it was more exciting to drive a single turbo Supra than the 996TT. Handling is a wash and so is the braking, the reliability is good on both with good upkeep and maintainance. 996TT is good with the 4wd, the supra is great handler too when you set it up to. Mine pulls over a 1.2G's laterally.
I'd go Supra TT for that money, less overall maintainance, suprisingly good resale, Cheaper parts, Cheaper mods, Porsche looks and reputation without the porsche badge, It's a no brainer for me. These days you can pick up a 700HP Singled Supra for less than 30K. People half expect the Supra to pull on all the exotics these days...

A 911TT for that kind of money only seems like a great deal if the car is bullet proof. I'd be concerned this one has lot's of issues or the service hasn't been kept up and lot's of issues are right around the corner.
Even if it's pristine there is going to be issues but you don't want a problematic Porsche. I've heard od many p-cars needing the engine replaced and that's ain't cheap by no means.
Still, I think I'd buy the Porsche but only if I can add a warranty. On the other hand, there is nothing sweeter than a modded SC. Nothing.
