Default How to rekindle the love for the SC.

So since I've owned my current SC400, nothing has been broken.

So far, I've done all the bushings, sway bars, S&S headers and full exhaust.

I managed to break my power steering line (rubber one from the tank to the pump) and its been screaming and leaking all over the place, and has made me very angry. Before this happened, I was content and almost bored with the SC, but after breaking this $13.41 part (Carson Toyota) I've been loving the car as if I first bought it.

Its funny, I break something and put up with it for a while, fix it and I love my car for a few more months instead of getting bored looking for something new to do to it.

Next up: Move O2 sensors back to the AFT position, and install the M90 I bought from ScottURnot. Hopefully, I won't break anything during this as I'm afraid it will be more than a rubber tube next time.

Yeah man i hear you. Every time i bought fun aftermarket parts for my car , it broke down on me.Then i beat my self on the head for buying them, instead of saving money for the fixups. Now i'm saving....i think my front bearing is going out

It is funny how they always seem to run better when clean.

I agree with the detailing. Every time I take an entire day to clean, polish, shampoo, and seal the paint... I love her all over again... Until I leave the driveway and it hesitates upon acceleration

I love mine until someone tries to get into the passenger door, and the door doesn't open from the outside ...and it hasn't opened for a while ...and it probably wont open for a while longer until I fix the TRAC light that keeps turning on. grr..

Sell it....

Drive another car for a while and that will evoke the emotion you are looking for.

What if I hide in in my garage somehow and totally forget I own it?

I can't sell it

i put in new bushings last week and i'm finally coming around to liking the POS.

The turbo and 5spd are pretty cool as well.

I feel the same way! With my first SC I was fixing stuff all the time.. it was in the shop more than it was in my hands whenever I got it back it felt brand new !
