I have them on my car with custom 3 inch piping no res. THey drone pretty good at 2k rpm and get quieter after 2.5k rpm. Im actually considering switching mine because I want a more quiet exhaust

Kind of an old thread, but if anyone's still looking for quiet-ish exhaust, I highly recommend Tanabe Medalion Touring. I got mine installed a month or so ago and I LOVE it. When they're cold, they sound 95% like stock. When they heat up, there's very little to no droning at cruising but they sound beastly when you're on it. Here's a clip of mine (all stock engine/piping): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhUG-TGbm80

I find it a bit strange that people are saying these are quiet. I had these on my previous car, a 2001 Subaru 2.5RS-T had a custom 3" from the turbo back. I thought that it was way too loud. At the time I was a big fan of loud exhausts. The NUR spec drone'd out on the freeway and my neighbors complained all the time about it. I did use the Blitz silencer for a road trip that I made to California. They made the exhaust super quiet and bearable for a long drive, my GF didn't complain either. Maybe with twin mufflers on our cars it isn't so loud? The silencers are an additional $70 per muffler and they come out with 1 bolt.
