Is it auto or manual? If it's auto.............try pushing the shifter all the way forward and make sure it's in park properly.

Default Key Lock

SETFREE, As member JPSFAB suggested, you have to give the shifter a good push forward. This occasionally happens to me, with the key. Another possible reason for the key staying locked in the ignition switch, if you lock the steering wheel. To free it, rock the steering slightly while turning the key gently to "ACC" on the ignition switch.

I was wondering if you meant the car key or if you were asking advice about your "key" LOL

yes I would just push the shifter up. I would also pull it back to N and then put it back in park. You need to activate the switch/sensor that says it is in park.

Default Shifter

SETFREE, You should take the shifter plate off and see if you see any obstruction with your shifter. Here is a link for taking off the plate.
