onehot, let say i got this done from maaco for 350 right, and afterwards take it to you for a detail let's say to wetsand the car or whatever. Would you touch it or leave it alone?

^ depends how it came out really...if it has orange peels which it doesnt from the red car. i say leave it or buff it if it hasn't been done already. you would wet sand it if theres enough clear coat on it. ask the painter.
looks damn good for $350 congrats. should of sprayed some Bull Frog on bumper before spray and your set. it would been 10x more durable from chips.

for a better result, next time do all the prep yourself and just let Maaco do the painting. Maaco is known for suckass at sanding and masking. But their paint is decent for the price. BTW yours turn out to be nice, lucky you.

If the paint turn out to be good/bad it isnt because of the shop, it depend on if the person did a good job and the paint they use. PREPS ARE IMPORTANT.

I had a car painted at Maaco years ago, probably 2000, 2001ish... Turned out great... very minimal orange peel, and it lasted over 4 years, at which time I sold the car... I had zero issues with durability other than a few rock chips, but nothing severe, nothing I don't see on cars on a daily basis with factory paint anyways...
This car, I painted myself, cost me a little more to do it myself, but I got the experience of doing it, and will eventually paint it again, or another car, now that I know what I did right / wrong...
Props man, looks good...
