Why in the world would anyone pressure wash an engine bay, with as many sensitive electronic devices that they have under the hoods of these cars, thats a big no-no. A gentle rinse and a soapy rag is perfect for light stuff and an engine degreaser for the heavy stuff ( only on non electronic parts ). People have to realize the electronics in the engine bay are water RESISTANT, not water PROOF, and VERY VERY expensive lol.
well im not surprised that people do actually, USUALLY people are smart enough to use a plastic bag and cover the electrical parts, but not all apparently.
washing the engine with pressure washer is not something new by the way, dealers do it too.

Yeah i know, they did it until I started working at the dealership im at now, i told the washers that the parts they were ruining and tech time would come out of there pockets if they kept doing it.
Dealerships, carlots do it, but it doesnt make it right. Overall unless you have some SERIOUS mud riding...oil soaked....saltwater covered dirty engine problems then dont even think about whipping out that 5000psi pressure washer you bought at the last sears sale and are waiting to find a good use for
I would replace the bent part. As you get going faster and faster, the aerodynamics of the car will push it to the ground, thus altering the geometry of everything, and a bent part will further alter that. Replace the bent part and get a 4 wheel alignment.
