Hey guys I have a speed dependent vibration, around 67+mph the whole car starts vibrating, I have new shocks, lcas,uca, new tires, hubcentric rings. It's not the drive shaft because when I put it in neutral around that speed, it's still there. What other things that can cause vibration?? I know when I look under the car from the back I can see my right traction arm a little bent relative to my left, could this cause vibration??

sounds like you have excessive radial force variation, get your wheels balanced/ rotated. your bent arm may cause a steering lead or pull condition in which case get a 4 wheel alignment.

yes that can cause the vibration. i had vibration in my car because my wheel bearings were bad.

My wheels has been balanced recently, Wheel bearings arent making any noises and there is no play when I rock the tire left to right, is there another way to determine bad wheel bearings?

jack the car up (steering wheel locked)and grab the wheel by the sides and try moving it checking for looseness. check to see if your wheel weights fell of the tire. they probably put steel weights on your alloys. this reminds me of a chick who had exessive wheel vibration that no one could fix. i took off the tire from the rim and a ****load of green slime fell out. turns out she had a leak and put in 2 cans of fix-a-flat ...women

once you pass 67 to about 75 or even 80, does it still vibrate?

ya i checked the tire for looseness, there is no play, and once i pass 65-67ish it will start vibrating and then vibrate more and more after

Why would putting it in neutral eliminate the possibility of a driveshaft problem? It's still connected to the rear, still turning. You'll eliminate the possibility of engine vibration by doing that, but everything after the transmission tail shaft could still be suspect.

my friend had this on his LS400, the thing is he pressure washed his engine bay and water got into the engine, thats what he said happened at least, so if you pressure washed your engine bay lately, that might be the problem

Why in the world would anyone pressure wash an engine bay, with as many sensitive electronic devices that they have under the hoods of these cars, thats a big no-no. A gentle rinse and a soapy rag is perfect for light stuff and an engine degreaser for the heavy stuff ( only on non electronic parts ). People have to realize the electronics in the engine bay are water RESISTANT, not water PROOF, and VERY VERY expensive lol.

I have done the same thing to mine a few months ago, and I also have the same DAMN problem. I think its the balljoints. Check the balljoints for wear, cracks, etc. Any signs of that and I would replace them. The problem still arises that you cant just replace the lower balljoints, you have to replace the whole arm. I just simply said, Let it VIBRATE! If anyone can figure it out, please post.... Or someone correct me if you can just simply repalce the LBJ, because mine need it. Also, maybe the tie rods, inner or outer, or the rack and pinion bushings. I have replaced the bushings, and the problem was still there.

most likely its your wheel balance. weights may have been knocked or fell off.

wheel maybe bent or your wheels is not seating or centered in there correctly.

How would I check my driveshaft?? Should I just bring it to a shop to get looked at?? I don't wanna get screwed over in pricing just because its a "Lexus"
