i'm currently doing a similar project...but with oem low and hi beams, complete gun metal housing, with de-lined centers on low beam cover, hi beam cover stays the same. looks awesome, will have a new thread with pics when done. personally think black housing looks to ricey...ala honda civic style...

Im just saying that the distortion from the lense really wont allow there to be much difference between a matte black and gun metal, since both of our lenses are delined, it will def. show more. Even more so since i have clearcoated metallic black for mine lol.

Oh, I think I forgot to tell you guys that I am only just beginning!! LoL, I'm doing the highbeams (non HID for now) blacked out, and the fogs (HID 6k) blacked out. Those will also continue to be added to this thread.
So stick around guys, the fog (turning assist) lights will be the most interesting since i will def. have to do some serious modding!! (I'm thinking projectors in the fogs) I love it

I have the black housing eBay lights.
I've had them for well over eight months. They have not leaked, cracked, and I feel the lights are adequate and function like stock. I also have HID's in them, and they hold up great!

I have them too, but they dont adjust properly at all (cant aim far enough down), and they have leaked a few times, but cleared up. I would just rather have the OEM quality.

And the work continues, getting harder and harder to find the time, lol. I should be done in the next week or so.
Sides of lenses painted black, and ready for polymer seal to turn them crystal clear, and a UV resistant clear.:
Reflectors with last coat of black and 4 coats of clear (hopefully this will give some of the "reflective" quality back):
Heyyyy, look what came in, my parking bulbs, my headlights will def. glow super blue now (LoL, ignore the "do not install in headlight housing" warning).:
Alright thats it for now, my lenses should be crystal clear by tomorrow afternoon.
