Default Amazing what PlasticX can do *56k = no*

Got my Xenon Depot 6500K HID kit the other day, and this was my cutoff before.. with my cloudy, dirty headlights:

Notice the glare and dim output. I had a good 2mm layer of dirt on these.

This is after some Plastic X and Shop rags (no buffing/sanding)

Full Cutoff

Passenger side headlight

Driver side headlight

Car is a 93 SC300. OEM headlights.

ya it does work well but it seemed to wear off quickly for me. looks good though. i ended up wet sanding and buffing and it worked even better.

I buffed mine with plastx and a buffer attachment for a cordless screw driver from autozone. Mine has lasted 2 months already with no hazing.

on the 6500k hids. 4300k ftw/

plastix does work well i usually clean it off with dish soap afterwards then, shhot a light coat of a thin rattlecan clear. Lasts a lot longer.

Not really, its a really pure white/blue. Same color tone as the factory TL/TSX. Now 8k+ is entirely too blue.

i feel that 4300 (Pnp) is way too yellow, barely more color than OEM.

Nice, i think ill try that before i attempt to wetsand/buff. i dont trust myself with a buffer/sander

Just do a wet sand with 1200 grit sand paper, its almost fool proof, then clear after, but if your headlight were as bad as mine, i cut DEEP into the plastic with harsh sand paper and am currently buffing them crystal clear again.

What? First you compare a lexus with an acura, that should be ban worthy right their. Second all cars with oem hids use 4300k, not 6000k or 8000k. Third this what 4300k looks on a sc with stock projectors. On newer cars the cut-off line is blue because of upgraded projectors.

4300k is slight yellow away from white on the ground (while blue on the projector). 6000k is heavyily blue away from white. So 4300k is closer to pure white.

I see cars everyday with 4300k and 6000k on the streets. 6000k no matter the set-up always looks rediculous blue when looked side-by-side to 4300k. And 8000k looks really dim deep blue or purple depending on bulb.

If you have a good tv change the color temp to cool, thats essentially what your looking at with 6000k. Warm is more pleasing to the eyes then cool. Which is another reason why 4300k is better. I just couldnt image driving everyday having to look at a blue tinted road, its soo eye straining.

Buffing wont damage the headlights, The buffer is like a huge cotton swab.
