3rd time's the charm ("new" car thread)
So 3 years ago I first joined CL at the ripe young age of 16.. with stupid aspirations to rice the crap out of my first '92 SC4. I babied that car for a year and put on whatever cheap mods I could afford.., except for my 5zigen mega fireballs but for the most part, it wasn't good. lol. I had some interesting experiences with that car including fixing every possible issue known to man because the seller ripped me off, and being on Judge Judy. Then as luck would have it, I slid out on a simple left turn at a traffic light at low speed. The car lost control and jumped a curb and smashed into a wall. I guess that would account for one of my cheap mods.. (my used tires). Then I proceeded to give up on the car world and parted out my sc.
Within the next year I was itching for another car. I bought a 97 SC400 without my parents' knowledge and used it for a couple months before selling it. By this time my tastes were a bit more refined particularly in what I sought after in a car. I decided to find a 98+ SC4. I searched for a year and found several black on blacks that I wanted yet there was never something right about it.
So ANYWAY, yesterday I flew to Colorado early morning and had the best V-day ever. 3k CL posts later.. I am the proud new (3rd) owner of a 1999 SC400. Alas, she doesn't have a black interior but her tan is so perfect I can't hate. Her previous owner is a veteran from CL who, although did not post much, provided a lot of valuable reviews on the extensive mods he did to his car. I drove the car back with my dad on a 1300 mile road trip back home to Los Angeles (through CO, NM, and AZ). I just got back this morning at 8am.
Here are some pics; most are just pics from my inspection guy haha
beautiful skies of colorado
They aren't great but yea.. I'll get some better ones later with my DSLR as I start modding the car. I have a bunch of things I still want to do to the car.
Oh and I'm sure you guys want to know what mods came on the car:
so basically I am very happy this car hauls butt
