Default 1992 sc400 Cornering Lights --- On All The Time?

Hello!

I have a 1992 Lexus sc400.

I was just wondering how I could get my cornering lamps to be on when my driving lights are on? It would really improve my lighting around my car and and increase in light is good for me.

Is there a way to wire the cornering lights to be on with the driving lights? Or is it more complicated than that?

Thank you!
Michael

Yes, use a relay switch. They can be used to do virtually anything in your car. Since I have an aftermarket stereo, I'm thinking of wiring my foglights to the power/volume button. Maybe even a potentiometer as a light dimmer too?

Are you talking about the blinker lights in the headlight housing? I'd like to do that too...

lex400sc, any details on how to wire it up?

I made a somewhat feeble attempt to explain the wire relays on a previous post (within the last 6 days or so). I'll see if I can dig it up and reword it a bit. The way I understand it, relays essentially send power to a specified device as soon as it receives a magnetic pull (electrical switch) from another device, be it a button, or the activation of another electrical system (ie: headlights used to activate foglights). Therefore you can use them to do virtually anything on your car, which is why it's good to know how to make one. When a stock electrical system fails too (as with my case of the foglights), instead of locating the problem in the system and attempting to fix it, you can just rewire your car with a relay that does it for you!

Howie, if you want to have the headlights activate the orange signal lights with a constant beam, that can be done too. I don't know if it's legal though?

i want the blinkers to turn on with the parking lights, but I also want the blinkers to blink...I've been referred to a local stereo shop to do it, but since I'm cheap, I'd rather do it myself...
gotta figure out how to do it first
