I jsut got the car it has 97k miles, should I go get a tune up and such?

Take it to a lexus dealership. They will give you the entire vehicle maint. history. Lexus has a national database so they will be able to tell what repairs/maint was done on the vehicle by the VIN # . This will be a good indication of what is needed and not needed. Then again the person could have done the work themselve and choose not to pay the Lexus dealership the outrageous fees.

Just curious since I live in Houston also. What did you pay for the car??

I paid 16K for my car 97 SC300 auto w/52K miles on it. It was owned by a doctor who had lexus do all the maint. I think it was a good deal.

Do they charge you to check the cars maint. history?

I got a 95 Sc300 body is next to perfect, interior is next to perfect also. The car is incredble. I paid 11500$ for it. I check carfax and saw that it had only one owner.

Just got a sc 300. 93 - 5spd clean! Getting close to 100K too. So this is an interestin thread for me. Paid - 12,500$. Guess that's a little more than the deal that 95 - hope it had more miles - but hell, these cars a bad axx anyways so I'm not gonna cry. I'm gonna check with lexus. Anyone been to the one in cicny?

I've seen the thread about dealerships. One lexington not so good. But nothing bout Cincinnatti - guess I'll try there first.
