after reading this thread it motivated me to SEM my whole car. I originally had an all tan interior and SEM'd the whole thing except for the front seats. It came out FABULOUS!!! Thanks for the motivation man, you are a great contributor to this Clublexus community.

lol.....1 12w7 is going to be way more than enough...although some might disagree, the SC isn't exactly a boat

Great to hear! Thanks for the kind words...

Yeah I recently really became a believer in the SEM product line. Here we have continual 95+ degree days. Even sitting in the sun with the doors closed and resting my arms on the door armrest, none of the paint comes off and still holds perfect. I wasn't too sure how well it would hold up in the heat, but surprisingly its holding great. I think the trick was adding that prep spray allowing the paint to hold real well along with the paint itself being very flexible.

i am trying to do black suede right now and it is a total pain in the ***.
the material i am using is pretty cheap though, and THIN, but doesn't stretch at all...

so far i've done the glove box, the center console frame, and dash pieces directly below the wood.

Default Handbrake cover - color change

I am trying to think of an inexpensive way to change the central handbrake cover (vinyl?) from that dumb factory color , to simple black. I've thought of taking it to a shoe repair shop and asking them to dye it , but their leather dyes probably wouldn't work with this material..
In the meantime , ..it stays in the trunk..
handbrake looks better without it !
