Default SEM'd Interior + Claiborne Suede FTW

So for those of you that don't know, I've been doing alot to the SC recently. I am installing a pretty decent audio system, carputer, and redoing my whole interior to black. Ive also decided to redo my rear decklid and headliner in black Suede. My other thread is too cluttered with different things, So i decided to make a new thread. I will post the progress of my SEM painted interior as it gets done. I decided to go with the SEM for obvious financial reasons, and I must say....im very impressed. Here are some pics of where I started off and what I got out of it.

That looks great! Did you use the same spray on the carpet portion of the door panel? Did it turn out hard and crusty? Also did you add a clear coat

Ok, so heres the interesting stuff.....

I decided to redo my rear decklid and my headliner in suede. Ive always wanted to have something like those odler M5's did. So what did I do? I went to Joann's and picked up some Claiborne suede and some headliner foam. The problem with my decklid was that it was broken in multiple places, and do the 12w7 that I am installing, I know it wasnt going to hold up. So i had to reinforce it with 1/4 mdf to allow me to 1) make it stronger, and 2) make a port for the bass to enter the cabin. Here are some pics of what I did:

Stripped and added 1/4" mdf for port

With headliner foam

Here it is installed....BTW, most all of this was done today....

Installed with panels

Installed with seats

Im really happy with the way it came along. Looking forward to do the headliner in matching suede. I already have the materials and will be installing it sometime this week. I will also be getting all the other plastic trims painted and hopefully by this weekend, ill be able to have everything done and start making that fiberglass box!

I used the same spray on everything..hell i even used it on the grill covers. The carpet is a little firmer but nothing to worry about. And this was all done with NO clearcoat....just straight SEM landau blk.

One thing I do recommend is an adhesion promoter which makes the surface sticky so the paint will bond to it better. It especially for plastics and vinyls. The one I used is called "Bulldog adhesion promoter".

Yeah all thats gonna be painted. This was really just a testfit to make sure the rear shelf fit well. All the misc stuff will be painted by next week including the Dash.
