Upgrade policy on 2003 to 2006 Lextech SC Clusters
Alright guys, we've had 2 re-designs and 4 power bumps over 6 years from 8k to 10k to 15k to 20k on all colors. As always LLS units have a lifetime wty and anything that ever needs attention is done to the spec your cluster is built at. (It would look funky to put a 20k needle beside a 10k needle). The early units are limited to that particular needle being on that cluster from back in the early days. If you are an '07 then you already have 15k in there and the latest voltage pipe, but yes before you ask a 20k will be a difference if you feel the need to bump up, just not as dramatic of a change as 03 to 06 units.
So here's the deal-i-o......... Anyone from '03 to '06 (and '07 if you really want to) can upgrade from the original clusters to the latest designs and power for 50% off. If you have '06 needles and want the '09 hid white or 20k blue, or whatever...... Then you are only looking at $50 for a complete rebuild to the '09 design and power class. Same rules for backlight, but needles are where I really feel the difference will be noticed the most. Not saying backlight wouldn't be more crisp and bright.
It's like buying a laptop, or a car, or a tv, or an ipod and having the company tell you "Hey, thanks for buying into the early stuff...... just give us the old product back and you can have the new one for a couple bucks instead of having to completely buy the new one".
We just want to say thanks for 6 great years and offer the early adopters a chance to see the new stuff without having to re-purchase it. Thanks again!

Been busy and forgot, but you probably notice the bottom tabs busted on the dash assembly. That would not have been from shipping, or myself being heavy handed. I bought this car from a Law Enforcement Agency, who got to keep the vehicle after it was involved in a drug bust. The owner is sitting in a state pen for Meth manufactering/dealing. And the cops were pretty heavy handed on most of the car. When I bought the car, I drove away with the evidence tag still tied to the original remote key.

I will be placing my order here in the next few days, all 4 of my needles are out =(
PS- just incase you are considering that off brand ebay overlay for the backlight that you saw, You may want to consider that EL technology is not visible during the daytime. (cluster will not be backlit until night time) It only uses one light source on the side to light the whole thing, so without direct firing lighting behind it, it doesn't show up if it is not dark. FYI.
