Halo headlights sc400 info
Alright guys.I'm new to this forum stuff so i hope u an bear with me. I have recently purchased and installed the halo headlights for my 95 sc400. The problems are that i don't know why the halo dose not light up. I cannot see it even in the dark.Secondly i haven't bothered with the alignment yet and i was wondering if there's any tips you guys can give me. And finally what type of bulb is the head light, i want to get a brighter bulb, bc the ones that came with is are crap.
Thank you

I've never tried the halo headlights before, so I can't help you on that one.
If you want to stick to regular bulbs, invest in Sylvania Ultras (available at Kragen's for about $50) or PIAA (on the internet for about $85). Usually HID conversion is recommended.

Do a search, there is at least two giant threads on this.
Your halos arent wired properly, most probably. And depending on the ones you chose either they will adjust and still point too high, or not adjust at all.

the bulb size for that housing is an H1. HID's can be made to fit but some modification is required (had to do this myself). make sure you have the white and black wires wired into your parking lights. If you don't want the little gay 194 bulbs up top to light up, only wire in the halo. it is not adjustable but you may want to check the ballast. if one halo is not lighting up and the other one is, swap the ballasts and see if thats the culprit.

I have Halos on mine, I was supposed to take pics for someone else but I forgot. I will see if I can get the pics of the wiring and bulbs Thursday afternoon or Friday. Are you sure the Halos are wired correctly to the DRL (Daytime Running Lamp) (the ones connected to the plastic case with the small led tip) wires? If not thats the problem because the bulb should be housed below the ring, so it could be the wires.

Did you get the ones on eBay?
if so, they're the same as I have (mine are black).
I LOVE them.
However, usually the bulbs are blown when you get them.
it isn't a CCFL "halo" its just a clear plastic tube that looks like a halo.
The cool thing, is that you can replace them with any color LED under the sun.
The halo and three slot lights as well as the city light are all 194 size bulbs.
Get LEDs for them, and you won't regret it

Yea the adjustment is horrible or non existant..
Im just gonna get HIDs and hope that will give enough light to light up some more of the road little bit better... instead of the trees
I want to dissasemble mine one day and get creative....
There should be an Ebay Halo lights thread
where everyone can list there common problems and flaws, as well as share pics of our light combo's.
