Default Opinion's Needed..

So I've been trying to sell my '95 sc400 for over a year now without luck, in hopes of buying either a 5spd to mod, or a 98+ sc400. I wanted more power than this slug offers.
Now that it looks like I'm not gonna get what I want for it (thanx economy ) I'm thinking of keeping it and start modding, as it almost feels like I cant have the fun I want to with the car due to the 'For Sale' sign on it, like its not my car. But I'm always back and forth about whether I want to sell it or just keep it.
What would you guys do?

Keep it and start modding?
Sell it for cheap and save for what I want?
Keep on trying to sell it?

I dont think I'm allowed to post a price on a non-classified post, but I bought the car 2 summers ago for $9000 USD (which I know now is a bit much).

I'm obviously not looking for that much now.. few K less..

You have a big issue with your price. For better or for worse because of your location the price of an sc will be jacked up. If the economy was good, it would work in your favor, but since the the economy has tanked your car is overpriced, but worse then that your gonna have few legit buyers. For 9k i could get myself a 100k- 99sc400. You didnt list the miles but lets say the car had 100k miles on it, i would say its worth around 5-6kish.

With that being said since you already have the car, your really better off just keeping it. If you were in florida or southern california, i would say sell and find a sc300. But considering the amount of money you spent on that car, the hassle of finding a 300 and the fact your gonna be disappointed when you have to sell for a huge lose, your better off just modding what you have. Besides its not like no one has put a 2jz-gte into a 400 chasis.

I'd hold on to it and take advantage of the low car prices now and buy the sc I want. When it turns around you can always sell your 95 to close to what you want. Plus, you can daily the 95 and mod the new sc.

I say keep it. You have already spent a lot on it and you know the car really well now. Why lose money and get a car you know nothing about. Just start Modding.

I've already looked into doing a 2J swap with a manual transmission here locally. At a reputable shop they quoted me $7K.. that kinda killed that idea lol

Although I'd love to do this, its defiantly not an option. I'm a student and work part time. 1 car at a time for now..

Looks like the vote is in favor of keeping it so far. I guess I'm gonna have to start researching ways to make it faster! lol

haha Sammy, you should just keep that thing, nobody wants to buy our cars

are you talking about BFI? if yes, then I think it's pretty-time consuming...not TOO confusing. All I'm planning to do is to cut out the box and call it a day
