The lexus i just picked up is worse rear ended by a tow truck and the trunklid went into the glass. One place wanted 800 for a new one. Almost got it fixed but finding it hard to source the rear windshield. Local junkyard had one but broke it when they were cutting it out

From the damage you should be able to fix it and save yourself the trouble....
I also got into a accident but with Someone in A Nissan Altima who failed to stop at a 4 way while I was making a right turn, As a result I was hit in the rear quarter panel.....
The insurance pretty much told me that they will total the car and basically give me book value(they said the damage exceeded the cost of the car). Or they gave me the option to buy the car back with a rebuit title..WTF!
I chose to fix it myself at a body shop that only cost me $1000, good luck with your choices!

I think it's 500 lbs total mass including the dude...sorry about the car man. I bet it was pretty funny to see his head and him kicking his legs to extricate himself in your rear view mirror though.

yeah, fortunately for him, my car sits low enough i guess that he just flew over it. at least i didn't have to witness him die in front of me. glad he was okay.
my adjuster from travellers is coming in about 30 minutes. let's see what they say.
on to a question for the GS guys. can i pretty much put everything i have into a 98 GS300? what do you use for tuning since it's OBD2? i've got my aem (30-1101), could i use it (assuming not for emissions purposes)? my manifold is for a non VVTI motor so it's clocked to avoid the distributor but i'm assuming it can be bolted on to a VVTI motor w/o any issues. what was weaker w/ the VVTI motor, was it the pistons, rods, etc? sorry if this has been answered before, just starting to do my research. tia.
