Working on my Foglights (Cornering Lamps)

OH WOW. I didnt know you have blacked out with a black car too!
i only saw the vid and assumed you have regular ones.
i really like those actually, if i had enough guts to do something like that, i would have done it (except leave the reverse part white).
keep those then! haha.

Hey guys, i have a question for yall.
I want my soon to be newly customized HID fogs to come on with the headlights....now i know i can simply tap the ballasts into the low beam harness, but can the wiring hold that about of draw, and is there a better way?

So you blacked out the cornering lights and are now putting hids in? I guess that wont blind anyone since your tints are very dark.
Yes their is a better way. First thing hook up your low beam hid kit with a relay harness (from your writing it sounds like your not using one, btw if you need to make one google it, its really easy). That'll take stress off your oem wires since the power will come directly from the battery. Now one of your oem low beam harness's are no longer being used (Odds are its the passnager side). Now attach a second relay harness to that harness and use that for your fog lights.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE DESCRIPTION!!!

I would def. get/make some hid glare shields. I converted my oem cornering lights to fog lights and the beam def. goes above my low bream cut-off line. Of course i am still using the oem bulbs and those are like 15w halogen so they arent strong enough to blind anyone. But with hids their will be a good amount of glare.
Do you have any suggestions for the relay to be used, a brand and good price that you like. Also if i am only using the low beam harness to trigger the relay to turn on the lows and fogs then i could use just the drives side low beam harness to fire the two relays that would turn the lows and fogs on. Am i interpreting this correctly?

I've been wanting a black housing that i can mount an aftermarket fog in like on the IS-F. Anyone know if one is available?
relay would be the best way to go for wiring them. I have two relays and pre-wired sockets laying around that i'll send you for shipping. Shouldn't b more than a few dollars since ur just one state away.

Ya you could do that. Honestly i would just use halogen bulbs in my fog lights. I think hid fogs are a waste but thats just me.
Anyways i would go to your local electronic store. I think kraggen wanted like 15 for a relay harness and i got it for like 5 at my local store. Plus stuff like female spade adapters and quick splices make connecting everything a breeze. Plus you'll want to protect the wires from the heat with plastic tubing.I like the tubing thats cut diagonally since you can wrap that onto the wires after everything is assembled.
