Def looking at a leak in the lens's seal

lmao, i just ment it seems pretty extreme going to the lengths of spending $30 on materials and having tubes with K&N style breather filter cones attached to my headlights..

i dunno, knock on woodgrain ever since i've done this they have been great.

It just looks better with two, along with allowing flow from the turnsignal side to the low beam side.

so will this help eliminate condensation that i already have, or will i have to open the light up first, clean it out, then do this mod to prevent condensation from forming?

haven't had to yet, we'll see how it holds up when i wash it on a hot summer day lol. btw what kind of oil are you using?

djb, i think it just depends on the moisture, if you have alot you can probably take the headlight off and use a heat gun or hair dryer and blow it on the outside and in the bulb socket holes to dry it, or just leave it out in the sun.. then do the breather filter mod..

if you just have a tiny bit of condensation then doing the mod might clear it up..

my driver side had just a tiny bit and the mod cleared it up..

Sticky red oil like you would use for a NITRO RC motor's filter, or you can use the oil found in K&N recharge kits, something that you have to massage into the cotton and it sinks in.

djb, if your moisture is extreme, then you will need to reseal the headlight, you most probably have a leak. If it just fogs up sometimes, then this mod will fix your problem.

very interesting.....

Before you went this route, did you try and improve the stock breathers? perhaps stick oiled cotton into the stock tubes?

Great job! =)

On a side note, honestly just drill a one inch hole in the bottom of the headlight, took care of our problem, no leaks, nothing

Dang, one inch?! Wont dust get in there really easily, or did you put some sort of filter material over the hole?

This does not work. Did this on my former sc 300 and it did nothing to help.

Too much trash could get in and force you to have to reopen the lamp to clean it.

UZZ30-SC4
what size hose did you use? 3/8" or 1/2"
I'm planning to pick up parts tonight or tomorrow
as I'm cleaning out my headlights now
I already have 3/8th sitting around, so I'm thinking of using that, if you have 1/2" then I'll get the same
hopefully this will be for the last time (or at last for a few years)
thanks for post up the mod
