Why do you want to put a tire thats wider than what the rim can hold? I would imagine the sidewall begin much taller if you do a 305 on only a 10 inch wide wheel. I think it would be a better idea to put a 275 or 285 sized tire on a 10 or buy a 11" wide rim to accommadate the wider 305 sized tire..

I run a 275/30/20 on my rear with a stock body.....i had to roll the the fender a little to make it fit with no rubbing.....that 305 tire is gonna be tuff but any thing is possible if you try...

well I was just curious cuz I have 2 305/25/20 tires that I had lying around from a car I used to have and since they are in really good condition I was wondering if they fit I could use them but since it sounds like they dont I'll just sell them, no biggie .

Rim range for anything above 295 is 11"+. 10" is gonna be tough on the tire. It'll be bulging out, producing a weak sidewall. Honestly you'll probably see much better performance if you mount a narrower tire on. Usually you want the tread to be equal or narrower than the rim's width for maximum performance.
