Haha....no problem. The reception is the same. I have always had good reception even when my antenna did not go all the way up. Now the antenna is not even attached to my S2K antenna and I still get great reception everywhere I go. All you hear now is the motor for the antenna pretending to make the old antenna go up and down but its not there anymore.

Your reception is gonna vary depending on where you live i.e tall building, hills/valleys. etc.
For me my stock receptions was REALLY good, like i got radio stations in laguna beach but then i put in an alpine hu and i spliced the radio power into the the 2 oem wires. The antenna still goes up and down but my reception isn't as good as it used to be. I'm not sure why tho. Maybe that 2nd mini antenna plug has something to do with it, since now its no longer being used.
On a personal note, i actually like it how the antenna extends and retracts, i think its cool.
