Alright guys what we actually had was the largest existing usable contact pad :

225/55/ZR16's

Dont yall feel silly....especially the guys who said 300 series plus!!

These tires have a 9.5" contact pad, which is HUGE for a 225, meaning their traction ability is equal to that of a 245 or larger....if any of you guys are running stock rims and need more traction until you can afford those pimp rims, check these tires out!!

I don't feel silly.

(there was nothing to win, you're lucky I wasn't guessing in the 500's. I thought close to 400 would be obvious I didn't have a clue)

LoL, you would have come the closest. My tires were SHOT from drifting a little too often so i had to replace them since we are entering our rainy season. IM STILL getting better rims, and i am set on some TT rims that i will powdercoat a gunmetal color. That will take time so i need tires for a while.

Nooooo, most of your SPORT tires, because they have straight stiff sidewalls only have 7.5-8.0 contact patch max, these are sports tires but all season touring tires so they have softer sidewalls allowing for a greater contact patch, in this case 9.5". Like i said before, usually you only see that size in the 245 range.

I did alot of research on this actually, there are a few very large tire warehouses around here, that i had some poor souls actually take a tape measure to the warehouse and report back with the widest 225 usable treadwidth they could find......ended up with about 80+ tires measured for me to look over and choose. I chose the Kuhmo....cheap....wonderful quality....high speed rating....high tread rating (600). So i can abuse them and not take a shot to the pocket book!

I was going to say 225/50/17's

Actually the pallet jack looks like a small one. The forks are too close together.
