Default will the sc400 last a lifetime?

hey guys,
i am new here, and i am a sc400 enthusiast ( wannabe, atleast).
i dont have the coin to buy a new one, but am looking around for a used one, maybe a 93-95. although i would love to trick one out, my question is how reliable is the car? to be more specific, if i find a sc400 with about ~100k km on it will it last me 10 years...15 years? who has the highest mileage on a smooth running sc? and what kinda average maintenance cost do you guys find yourself putting in to the car? i really would like to have a sc400 as my ride, but i also HAVE to be able to use the car for a long time.
TIA

I believe someone here once said that they are good to 300,000 miles with regular scheduled maintanence (either that or the SC300?). The oldest SC is about 10-11 years old so no one knows if it'll run an additional 10-15 years beyond today, but it is a Lexus and they are well above the quality watermark. BTW, you wouldn't happen to be Tia Bonvie would you?

This one guy who bought a GS at the local dealer gave his kid his 1992 SC400 with 375,000mi on it, and as far as I know it's still running. They've had to do some major upkeep but from what I understand the underpinnings and running gear rarely if ever break down.

Damn, any other car and I'd be scared to see nearly half a million miles on the odometer. There was a post not to long ago about a GS with 500k miles on it still running good. That same post had mention about a 1960-something Volvo with over 2 million miles on it!!!!!!

Most modern cars can last a long long time with maintenance. The question most of the time is whether it is worth to keep the car taken into account of the maintenance cost.

I have a BMW 635CSi. the car runs great but at 120k and 13 years old, it need new shocks and a suspension overhaul, new brakes and radiator. That is $4 - 5K worth of work and the car is worth $10k. a lot of times we just don't want to spend so much on an "cheap" old car. Even though it is a $50k car 13 years ago.

Keep in mind while the SC is a reliable car, its parts are quite expensive. Not Porsche prices (I got a 928 and I know) but definitely no cheaper than BMW. I think it is not unreasonable to budget $1k or so for annual maintenance on your SC. If you are willing to do that, it will last a long .......long time.

Dear Person who wrote this in 2002,

It is 2019 as I write this, and I daily drive my 1992 SC400. Yes, it is reliable like you would not believe. Yes, it would have lasted you easily those 15 years. Haha. It still drives like it's new, after 27 years, and I have exactly ZERO intention of ever selling it. I cannot see why it won't be running, even 30 years from now.
