![Question](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I drove to six smog centers today and nobody will touch my car becuause of my Blitz Intake on my 92 SC300. I would simply bolt on my OEM kit, however lost it in a recent move.
I just moved from Southern California to Northern California (San Jose) and never had this smog prolem in the past. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can go to get my car smogged? If not, where can I buy the OEM kit besides the dealer at a decent price???
Any help would be greatley appreciated!

(Sorry I could not resist! I have others, but I will spare you, for now.)
Your best bet might be to find another SC owner in your area, yank out his stock airbox, install it in your car, get the smog test, and then re-install his stock airbox. If you want to be real neighborly, you might want to tell him in advance that you are doing it.
If you are coming to the Fontana races, let me know and I'll bring mine- you can borrow it for the hour it will take to run out and get a local smog test. Mine is a 92 SC400, though.
By the way, what is a Blitz Intake ? Is that like a MAF? What does MAF stand for, anyway? Max Air Flow?

To save yourself some pain in the future, get parts with a CARB number on it. I know there aren't many parts for Lexus, but try to get stuff with a CARB number on it. That way the smog technicians won't give you a fit.

Guess who came to my rescue?? I was shocked, but my local Lexus dealer smogged my car with the intake and all!!! Of course, it came at a higher price than the local smog centers, but it was well worth the hassle of robbing my neighbor at gunpoint for his air intake! Actually, I don't have a neighbor with an SC or a gun so I guess I would have just been SOL.
Thanks a bunch for the offer on the loan, does anyone know the CARB number for the silver aluminum Blitz Air Intake anyway for future reference? There has to be other fools who throw away their stock crap in disgust.....or maybe not.
Thanks,
