hey, so i got a paint job a week ago. I would like to know how to keep it shinny and protected. Also, I was told i shouldn't wash my car for a couple months.

you should definately wash the car. but make sure you do it in the shade so that the sun doesn't bake on water spots. if you don't wash the car industrial fall out and bird crap will eat into the paint surface and then your screwed. i washed mine every weekend in the evening and waited for 2 months before i waxed it. it still looks nice and shiney now

Hand Wash (yourself), use clean towels soapy water, and dont wax/buff until you start to see surface scratches in the clear coat. That is if its a nice paint job. If its a crappy paint job save you money on the car wash and get it repainted.
