WHATEVER though.

i think if one were to look at either, they should test drive both, and see how it feels.
(i wish i did, i've never sat in a sc3)
They feel the exact same. The sc400 is more powerful on paper but that 92-97 tranny is terrible, which is why i cant tell a diff between it and my 300 5spd. In OEM form the 98+ 1uz is def the best. But when your trying to get power beyond oem, i have to say the jz is def the better engine to work with.

Sorry guys, power died from the horrible storms over here. We could all argue for days, but both of the engines are some of the best built in the world, no matter what you do with them, they will continue to be the best......but.....

1UZ>2JZ anyway

So with this statement you are implying folks like: ScottUrNot, SC400TT, Lextreme, and the other fellas who pursue ideas outside the box are fools for not just jumping on the bandwagon? That doesn't seem very nice.

Back on topic. To the OP, choose whichever you like. Stock for stock they aren't that much different. The 400 will have more pickup stock, and will yield about the same gas mileage too. GL and happy modding .

Now I'm interested in getting a SC400 instead of a SC300, oh god.

SC400 comes with a spoiler and the SC300s don't. I honestly think SCs look horrible without spoilers. V8 sounds better than any of the turbos and whatnot people throw on their straight 6s. People need to step their cylinder games up.

Yes and its not nice.

If you want to make the sc go fast, do it cheep(well as cheep as possible). If you want to spend money on a car you might as well just buy a brand new Mercedes Benz S-class or use that money on a down payment for a new house. Unless your loaded with cash, i dont see any reason to spend more money on making a 1uz faster then a JZ, their are better things to spend money on then just cars.
