Default Halo/Angel Eyes for a different application

Thought it was time to upgrade the gauges cluster back lights to match the Defi Gauges.
I used 2006 Mazda 3 Halo/ Angel Eye Kit for $35

I had to grid down some of the plastic light deflectors in order to have the rings sit far back. Once I install it I will determine if I need the tiny rings I got from a CCFL PC fan to even out the lights at the fuel and temp guage area.

This took about 30 mins to do. fit like it was made for this.

looks very nice. cant wait to see pics when its done. are you still going to be able to adjust the brightness though?

Those CCFL rings might be a little bit bright for night time driving.

Sundown is in 30mins and I will post up pictures soon after. I'm not worried about the Dimmer since I've always kept it on high or the CCFL being too bright since the front Lens of the cluster is tinted. I tested this out with another cluster and the CCFL PC fan before ordering the Halo Kit.

I think i like the look of the LED's better, but this is def. a cheaper DIY solution to a dull and dying cluster. Nice work.
