Default ***what do you guys think about this 98 sc400***

So they have this blk on tan 98 sc400 @ this dealership close to my house, and its been there for a while, i'am talkin about months like 3-5months it been there. And they have it for 5,995 yeah i know sounds like a good deal? But!!! It has 151k miles on it.. Do u think i should get it for that price or try to get it for 5k even? I checked it out and everything looks really clean in and outside..

Ps.. Now if i get it do u think the mpg i would be getting would be a little lower cuz its has high miles? Please help me out.... Thanks!

no way is that car worth $9,850 at kbb with 151k miles on it. my 97 SC300 with 61k miles on it is barely worth more than that. that can be. and i say yeah try to get it to 5k, but if it doesnt work still buy the car.

i did a carfax on that car and it was involved in an accidently, but its still a clean title car.. if u end up checking it out in person, inspect the left side of the front end and fender area

considering its a california 98 sc400 then ya i would say its worth around 6k. Just make sure u get it for 6k flat otherwise the dealership will try to put some taxes and fees on you.

151k is not really high mileage for our cars. I bought my first sc, 92 sc 300 with 155k on the clock, for $10,000 back in 2000. I sold it with over 220k a couple of years ago.

Since it's been in an accident I would get it checked for structural damage and get looked at by a mechanic and bargain from there. You may be able to get that puppy down to 4k, depending on how it checks out. I'm sure they want it off their lot if its been there that long.

The 98+ sc400 is like night and day compared to pre 98 sc's. vvti 290hp/300 tq is no joke and power is sweet. You will love it, promise. Get it if it checks out b/c you will never find a deal that sweet. 98+ sc 4's are hard to come by.
