Default question about the stock alternator.

Just curious to know what the idle amperage is on a 1995 sc400. Im adding an hho generator (gas saving device that pulls 20 amps). I want to upgrade my idle amperage due to the upgraded products on this list.

These are the things I have done soo far on upgrades including non load.

1. Hid 6000k fog lights
2. Projector headlights with halo ring assembly
3. hho generator 20 amps constantly
4. optima red top

things to be done on my list.

1.non practical 3500 stall converter
2.underdrive turbo for the exhaust
3.upgraded ecu
4.upgraded engine
5.touchscreen in dash 7 in. navigation( no backup camera)
6.upgraded led dash lights (white)
7.replace stiff seats with new leather.

I've never heard of an alternator rated like that, they usually just give you it's maximum output. I guess you could just check yours, get a clamp on inductive type ammeter and clamp on the wire from the alternator to the battery, of course even that would vary depending on the charge in the battery at that time. It will prob show a lot right after start, and once the battery is back up, prob next to nothing.

HID lights require LESS power than a typical halogen. The startup draw is very high, but once they are on, they take less power.

Same with LED dash lights, anything LED will obviously take less power.
Not sure about the aftermarket HU, it's probably a wash, it's the AMPs that have a such a high draw.

what is an "underdrive turbo for the exhaust"?

and how much will the car be idling? with everything electrical turned on? as long as the max alt output will cover it, you should be ok, it's rare that EVERYTHING is turned on at the same time, hot summer night, stereo cranked, brakes on, in reverse, cigarette lighter heating up, operating windows (both simultaneously) while adjusting seats and mirrors, and throw in the rear defrost for good measure.
