Nice trunk setups!

Maybe someone should start a "Show off your trunk"" thread... lol

I have no spoiler, and mine doesn't stay... I use my camera tripod that I keep in the trunk to hold it open, haha.

I always thought our trunks are weird, HUGE gas tank is quite scary.
But, i love how solid it is, bass is kept in cabin, even without sound deadening kits.
Custom enclosures on the sides beats a huge sub box any day =(

My huge box in trunk is too shameful to show hehe.
Thought this one is nice too, grabbed it off craigslist

i dont know about other but this is what i did to mine. i have two amps. a polk audio 400.4 4 channel and 500.1 sub mono block amp.

i took a piece of 3/8" mdf. the i bought some L-brackets and hung the mdf from the bottom of the rear deck. i have 4 L-brackets on the mdf sheet. btw the mdf is the width of the amps and goes from the bottom of the rear deck all the way to the bottom of the amps. about 2 feet maybe.

the bottom of the mdf is resting against the gas tank. then you put on the stock gray trunk trim over the mdf piece. the amps are mounted to the mdf. 4 screws each. it goes through the stock gray trunk trim and the mdf.

ive it done this way since i bought the car in 2006. never had a problem. never came loose....and the car has been drifted for 2 seasons with the amps in place.

i just take out the spare tire other loose junk out of the trunk prior to the sideways action

i dont have any pictures. did it a while ago. the trunk shocks are a must though. that was my fist modification to the car. like 40 shipped off of ebay. got the ones for the spoiler car. then took off the ugly spoiler. still work great

On mine to mount the amps I used alot of flat bar, quite a bit of square tubing, some 1 1/4" conduit & lot's of welding!! Lol!! 1st I made brackets to mount the amps to, then made a hoop from the floor to mount the amp brkts to, then ran a flat bar brace to where the sub used to be & now it's all rock solid.
