1.whats average mileage of '94 sc300 with manual tranny???
2. how are sc3 on maintenance? labor and parts readily available???
i drive '94 integra, and let me tell you its work horse, my dads a car dealer, i drove many cars, cheap and expensive, big and small
for this teg. i am no street racer my car is 100% stock 120k miles and its 5 speed. i get great gas mileage, and only thing i do is change oil ever 5-6k miles and thats it, nothing more nothing less and it runs like a champ, prob best car
anyhow i am thinking about picking up manual sc3 OR fresh '98 and up gsr integra(stolen one from auction, i get them cheap)
so let me hear your take, cause i really like sc's, there slick and so unique but time s are tough and i cant be running around trying to keep my car running, and i trust integras

If you just want a clean, cheap, gas 'n go commuter car... you should probably stick with the teg. The SC is bound to need some repairs when you get it and most of the ones it needs around this time (bushings, timing belt, water pump, etc) Arent super cheap. The mileage on the 5spd is better than the auto (measly 18-20) but nothing to brag about. The SC is a fantastic car, but if your main concerns are having a relatively inexpensive car then it might not be the best choice due to the higher cost of ownership. Search for OLT's thread about the "real" cost of buying an SC.

yeah parts wont come cheap if u get em from the dealer. gas wise, be ready to cough up for a 20 gallon tank. but it's worth it, cuz a lot of people dive tegs, but with an SC u'll stick out. that and inlines are freakin AWESOME!!!

sc300s with manual trannys are gonna be hard to find if you live in MD. They made less then 4k of them.
As for mpg, it sucks, really bad. Odds are the manual will get you worse millage then an auto since you will be pushing it harder.
Reliability idk but i have some bad lucky. Both my cars are losing oil. Parts arent really that expensive, this is a old school toyota based lexus after all. But be prepared to fix things if you buy a high millage/old car. FTW a newer car with higher miles is better then an older car with less miles.
Its a great car imo as long as your fine paying the lexus premium to drive it. Like i said the gas millage is really bad. If your coming from a good mpg car prepare to be shocked.
