I got a polk audio subwoofer and its diameter is the same pretty much all the way down the cone so it would definately not fit. Since it's almost impossible to fit a saw in there i took metal shears and made a ton of cuts around the hole and pulled back the metal. Then to clear the gas tank i put two pieces of m.d.f. and some weatherstripping to seal the air and reduce vibrations.

You can also find a shallow sub that would fit in the hole and clear the gas tank. I think it is a stock 10" sub, however the stock sub has a spacer kinda built in so it is really only an 8" or so hole.

The stock subs frame is also the mount for the speaker grille (snaps into it) you would probably be better to just gut the stock speaker & put a box in your trunk.

Took the cover off to show fitment. Still about 1" from magnet to GTank.

Not Crazy bass but sounds nice.
Alpine deck and Alpine mono Amp running just the 10" sub.
Kicker 5.25" and Tweeter components (crossovers)

I took the stock sub out of the deck and just use it as a port as such for the 12 in the back.. .. I wouldn't waste my time with trying to fit something the deck.

If your not trying to have some big @#$ sub with a magnet, you could fit a 10 inch sub in the stock location. I was just trying it out and had a old kenwood tornado and it fits fine and sounds good too.

for your rear stock sub best replacement is air free sub-- no question about it. <no other sub will sound better due to amount of space and no box) air free subs are made for this particular type of custom speaker mod.
its pricey (pioneer) but fits like a glove. and no it doesnt hit the tank.
Dont waste your time on filling your trunk with speakers, amps etc.. there is simpler and cleaner
way of making your lexus sound like a champ

pm me for info

i haVE one more left.

for sale
