I never understood the craze with tints. Unless your a celebrity and you don't want people watching you and taking pics, tints are soo not worth the hassle. Esp when you combine them with an exhaust, i mean thats like border line asking the cops to pop your hood.

I envy CA guys for the smooth roads but not their strict laws...Sucks for car enthusiasts..
Here in NY, we have the same laws but they are rarely enforced depending on which area...I ride around with tinted windshield, limo rear windshield, and no front plate..The downside is we have to deal with massive potholes and crazy taxis..

Do what my friend did, make a donation to the sheriff's association and get the license plate cover. It helped him out a lot.
or If you want to go all out, get some windows that tint and de-tint with a switch. Those are really expensive and will have to be custom made.
Or if all else fails, install a deployable spike strip and smoke screen!

Maybe it's your luck dude...Knock on wood, I drive by cops all the time without them even looking at me...I have tint and exhaust but I think it's the whole package that gets their attention. I had my windows half way down one day and was sitting on an off-ramp signal light when I noticed a motorcycle cop going in between cars. When he got near my car, he slowed down and inched his way through. I turned down my music and looked at him and he said "Don't worry, I won't hit your nice car..."...LoL
Having no front plate is my biggest issue. I've been pulled over 3 times since the re-paint of my car. After the last time, I had enough...I put it on and have never been harassed since.
Cops and the general public will notice the "Murdered" out/Black cars more imo. The "Murdered" out scene has been popular lately...so I think the cops key in on these trends.

As much as I love California, I would have a tough time dealing with those car laws. In GA, you can do pretty much w/e you want, and on one gives a ****. I run around with AEM, single turbo, no cats, 5% tint, etc. Just wondering though, what do the Supra guys who have single turbo setups, and 800+whp cars do that live out there?
