Red face My Origin body kit fitmnet problem

Hi guys,

I have a problem with my sc300 body kit.

It is an Origin Body kit.

The problem is that the front pumper does not fit on the car because of the safety bar of the car.

Honestly, I'm not willing to remove the safety.

I would like to know what's the best possible thing to do in order to have a fit pumper ??

you can see the picture as well.

i have that bumper and thats what i had to do... remove the bar... i had to do it anyways because i have a huge intercooler there too.

i know that the bar doesnt fit where the side holes are... you can trim the bar to make it fit... other than that you cant do anything else but take it off

I'm planning on getting this kit eventually, how did everything else fit?

And to everyone else, how much should you trim? and what did you use to trim it, just a sawzall?

I wouldn't want to recommend doing something that would jeapordize the safety of the vehicle but I would remove it. There is an engine behind that bar that can break my fall.

u can trim it or have a crash bar make thats smaller, lighter and does the same thing as the original. ive seen it done before on 240's when people dont want to lose the saftey just for a kit or intercooler.

Forget trimming the bar. Trim the actual bumper where the top areas of the left and right openings below the head lights are. You will see what I'm talking about when you throw the bumper on and see where it actually touches.

The bar sits to low like a couple inches into the opening, even if you did trim the rim. Its a extra large opening made for an intercooler. I took mine off, fitment of my origin sucked, molded it on though...

hmm... I've heard the origins don't have bad fitment at all. You are one of the first I've heard this from so far. What exactly didn't fit well?

PS - Not trying to thread jack here, just haven't seen too many people on here with this kit.

Nothing fit, the front bumper didn't meet up on the sides. No way to get the high beams to fit right. Side skirts were a bit to short, just enough that even if i shave the insides of them down real thin. They still couldn't make it around the edges. The rear kind fit but not well around the tails and it was in just a way you couldn't do filler cuz it would just crack and be to weak...
