It's really not that hard really. All the horroe stories you hear are a bit over the top. They really aren't that hard to work on. I've owned one and did all the work myself.

The SC is expensive to maintain as far as body/interior goes it seems even small parts are ridiculous and a pain to find sometimes, but on the other hand the drivetrain is almost bulletproof as long as you do regular maintenance on it. So i guess it all evens out, if you can deal with cracked leather,burned out needles/climate control and a bad cd changer it'll cost next to nothing to own.
