Default auxiliary fan for a/c

which models came with it. mine does not have one, my a/c sucks at low speeds. im looking to wire one up. but what from what i have read that our a/c only sends a 5v singal to the compressor? i havnt pulled on my volt meter to see what comes through at the connector. im just trying to figure out what relay im going to need. if im going to run 12v to and if the a/c is grouned when you push the a/c button or whatever. i just want to run a little fan at the condensor to help it out a little.

I posted a similar question last year, and got very little response. I have an intercooler blocking my condenser, so I'm looking for a little extra airflow too.

found it. it looks like its the black wire. on the right side of the connector from the back. found a 12v from that wire. so im going to wire up a relay and probaly a little 10" fan infront of the condensor. my intercooler is also up front blocking it as well. but when my fan is going it sucks enough to hold a credit card on the condensor. so i hope this helps. the fans are cheap on ebay

I have a radiator fan shroud from an automatic, so it has the extra hole for what I think was a transmission cooler fan. I think I'll put one there, which will draw air through the condenser and radiator, what did you have in mind? Which wire are you talking about, are you looking at the connector on the compressor? so the fan will come on when the compressor is running? Ideally it should be on the whole time the A/C is on, (even if the compressor cycles off momentarily) but your idea seems pretty simple.

1sxyrxy now that most of us have had some hot weather, did you ever get this finished? did it make a difference? Since summer is here, this may get pushed to the top of my priority list. Did I read that you have a fan in front of the condenser blowing through it, rather than behind sucking through it?

Going to do this as well. IN fact I already installed the fan in front of it. Just need to figure the best way to wire it so it comes on every time the a/c is on.
