The SC has a wheel/tire combo that is 32" tall? I think not... Perhaps an Escalade does!

Here's the straight skinny on tire sizes, shown in overall diameter:

SC OE: 225/55-16= 25.74"

Correct +1: 245/45-17= 25.68", 275/40-17= 25.66"
Correct +2: 245/40-18= 25.72", 275/35-18= 25.58"
Correct +3: 245/35-19= 25.75", 275/30-19= 25.51"

20" set-up (as close as possible): 245/35-20= 26.75", 275/30-20= 26.49"

17s are certainly more practical in places like New England... for us LA guys, the roads are paved with gold!!

Though they have very close overall diameter to 19s or 20s, 17s and 18s look too small to me. I've seen them on real actual SCs in person from different angles and different distances. They simply don't fill the well adequately. Ever seen a GS on 17s or 18s? Doesn't look too god does it? Well the SC has nearly identical dimensions. Maybe I just have an extraordinary eye for art, but that's just me and my opinion. BTW, that AutoConture SC looks absolutely perfect.

when i said turns i meant sharp turns like onto another side street here in la. are you sure 19s or 20s will fit the car fine without hitting anything at turns? Trust me, i also do turns at more than twenty, but i think 20s would hit something but yeah, the black sc with the 20s is phat as hell and if i could find that body kit i would prolly buy it

go to tirerack.com and check it out and see how it looks
20's are fine. they will not hurt your car at all. They will not rub unles you are making a really really sharp turn (like coming out of a driveway with the wheel all the way to the right), and then it will only rub on the plastic wheel well lining. Nothing serious, and will not wear your tires out.

I am planning on upgrading to 18" wheels possibly off ebay. What is the correct bolt pattern and offset range for 1992 Lexus SC400?

5 x 114.3 is your bolt pattern (or 5 x 4.5 as some people call it)

Offset depends on the width of the wheel...

Bean, it might look like too much wheel because of the chrome. I hate chrome personally...Those same wheels with grey centers wouldn't make them look so large...
